Waheed Khan has spent 10 years producing and directing films for various networks including the BBC and Channel 4. Waheed's films range from bite sized 10 minute glossy high end items for the likes of The Culture Show and BBC 2`s RTS Award winning Desi DNA to shows including The Great Garden Challenge (CH4) and Comedy Rants ( ITV ) with a range of Britain's best stand up comedians.
Orange People is Waheeds first drama short and he is developing a number of screenplays. His latest documentary, about Albino communities, 'Britain's Whitest Family' gained numerous 'Pick of the Day' write ups and was Critics Choice in Time Out.
He has directed observational documentaries about art, dating, race, religion and beyond and has filmed in prisons, schools, mosques and is comfortable with contributors from all walks of life. Waheeds films have taken him to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jamaica and South Africa.
