Gemma Holdway
Gemma Holdway is Gazelle Media's Production Assistant. She graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada with a Bachelor of Journalism and Minor in Politics. In addition, she studied International Journalism at the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark, US Foreign Policy and Journalism at George Washington University in Washington D.C. and Military Journalism at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
In 2007, She interned for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) London Bureau and chased stories for Canada’s top foreign correspondents. She produced her own feature story about London squatters for The World This Weekend before returning to Canada.
In November 2008, she was awarded the Ross McLean Memorial Award for her documentary, Indian Road, a film about a residential school survivor’s quest for healing from years of childhood abuse.
