Yvonne Archer
Yvonne Archer works for Gazelle as a trainer in media production and emotional intelligence.
She draws on a background in media and the performing arts to create and deliver bespoke programmes in her role as trainer, facilitator and youth worker, inspiring young people, their parents and other adults to actively fulfil their dreams.
Yvonne has been identified by the British Council's Interaction Leadership programme as someone who is able to influence communities to work towards local, national and global peace and understanding.
Previously Yvonne has worked as Project Manager for a community music co-op, working with the long-term unemployed and focussing on all aspects of black music education and production. She is, herself, a professional pianist and singer.
Yvonne has also worked as a Junior Executive within a small, in-house broadcast advertising team in New York, making 100 TV and 150 radio commercials per year.
She has worked for the BBC World Service (BBC Global News) as a producer, writer and presenter, both for radio and online, making programmes of all genres for learners and teachers of English across the world.
She also researched, wrote and produced a history series for radio with a charity in South Africa. The series included new interviews with several of South Africa's ex-political prisoners from Robben Island.
